Bought two of these last year to sew on a saddle pad. The iron-on adhesive backing worked so well that I haven't had to even touch-up with needle and thread, even the stem portion. Saddle pads really get used roughly (we're talking sweat, hair, washing machines, and pretty much living in the barn) so I'm happy with the way it turned out.
